We spent 5-6 years in aboard spent a lot of money there but still we are struggling with our exams.?? Lets forgot about the negative thoughts about our features..
START TO PREPARE TODAY AND MAKE YOUR PARENTS PROUD..
In this article I have written about the success strategies..I hope it will help you.you won’t do the same mistake as I did..
TIPS TO CRACK THE FMGE..
1. It’s normal that some of you would feel that you have not prepared enough. It’s alright to feel scared a little. Everybody has these feelings.
Minimum preparation – Anatomy , physio, biochem, micro, patho, pharmac, ophthal, SPM, medicine, surgery, obg
2. Sleep Well, Eat well. Sometimes, you are too tensed to take these small things seriously.
3. Don’t enjoy too much on the contrary also!
4. Don’t forget to get your stuff ready – passport, admission card ( in case you have it !!!! don;t get tensed, you will receive it in last week usually) good pen plus an extra one . Be casual, they will take videos as a part of verification.
5. Plan for eating in break in between, because you won’t be rushing to eat food in canteen in your center if your paper goes horribly in the morning session.
WIN THE SYLLABUS OR STUDY ON TIME:
You should know the difference between WIN THE SYLLABUS OR STUDY ON TIME So first be MASTER with the syllabus that you should know. The time is playing a VITAL role in your preparation..do not start to study the uncovered areas in last minutes. Start to plan and launch that plan. Most of them won’t believe in early morning study.but think about the past years in the 12th,10th worked damn hard know.So first you should do is MASTER in the syllabus..
CORE CONCEPT OF FMGE
Though Sample numbers of books are available in the market there cannot be an alternative to making own notes as these notes are your quick reference guide. When exam preparation reaches its peak, one will not have the luxury of time to read entire portions. Moreover these small notes prepared after intensive reading sessions comes handy during revisions.
WORK ON WEAK AREAS
Concentrating only on areas where you are strong and ignoring portions which are tuff and uninteresting and leaving it for the last minute is a fatal folly that many students commit. This can affect ones strike rate and can make the difference between success and failure. Identify areas where you feel your will not be able to score well under present situation. Devote ample time studying this area, as leaving things to chances is not going to work in your favor. Remember that every singly mark counts in the end.
CORE TO SUCCESS
Revising the portions in a regular manner is important in ensuring that one is able to retrieve the information at the time of exam. The more you revise, better the chance of information getting imprinted in your memory. Since a huge volume of information is processed it is always desirable to go back and read the main points once, twice or thrice as time permits. Make sure your study pattern is in such a way that you have enough twice of completing at least two to three rounds of revision
PRACTISE WITH MOKE TESTS
Mock tests are great ways to check where you stand in terms of preparation. For those who have enrolled at a coaching centre mock test are a regular feature one should utilize to the optimum level. There are many websites offering free mock tests where you can register with your email id and attempt a test with set time period. It not only gives you a feel of attempting the exam but also tests your speed of attempting and gives you real time feedback as to how to improve your test taking under time constraints.
DO NOT GIVE OVERLOAD TO BRAIN
It is a wrong notion that larger the number of study material referred, greater the chance of scoring high, this is a fallacy and on the contrary will leave you confused and disoriented. Make sure you use books by authoritative authors Do not make it a habit to change your books depending on feedback by friends or info that trickle in every now and then. Remember, there is no book that guarantees total success it is how you utilize your limited study resources to your advantage that counts.
When it comes to success there can never be a short cut to hard work. A well channelized effort when followed in a consistent manner is sure to yield result So stay positive, give your best shot Success is not far behind.
FMGE EXAM EXPERIENCE FROM PAST YEAR STUDENTS
You should really believe yourself that you can clear the exam with your hard work and some essential basics.
- I started reading PSM FMGE and DNB questions and it took almost 7 days to complete.
- After PSM I started PROAFS FMGE questions only and it took me only 3 days to complete.
- Thirdly, I go through KAMAL KV basic notes which is very brief for following subjects.
Physiology KAMAL KV basic notes I guess around 7 to 8 pages and thereafter I did KAMAL KV FMGE questions on the same day.
Next day I took Biochemistry read KAMAL KV basic notes also around 9 pages and thereafter I did KAMAL KV FMGE questions on the same day.
and the Pattern of Study continuous for following subjects.
- a- Pathology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only)
- b- Microbiology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
- c- Pharmacology (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
- d- Medicine (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
- e- Surgery (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
- f- Opthal (Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
- g- Obs and Gyne ((Kamal KV notes followed by FMGE Q only )
I only did Kamal KV FMGE questions for remaining subjects like ENT, Pediatrics, Forensic medicine.
Most important thing in my study plan was 3 times revision plan for each subject and I stick to it till the end and I managed to do it.
Last week before exam schedule.
1- One day preparation for PSM
2- One day preparation for PROAFS
3- One day preparation for Pre-clinical subjects (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochem)
3- One day preparation for Pre-clinical subjects (Pathology, Pharma, micro)
4- One day preparation for Clinical subjects (Medicine, Surgery)
5- One day preparation for Clinical subjects (Opthal. Obs and Gyne)
6- One day for other subjects like, ENT, FM, Pediatrics.
7- One day final revision for all subjects.
I left anatomy basic notes but did FMGE questions thoroughly.
Again I stress that you need to revise at least three times before exam. Also, you should strongly determine and trust your-self that you can pass the exam no matter how different the exam pattern is. Last but not least at-least 2 minutes to Almighty per day.
I am sure everyone can pass the exam with dedication. There is no other loophole.
