Radiology case review series Brain imaging PDF

Radiology case review series Brain imaging PDF countless hours upon hours were poured into the writing and image editing by my coauthor and me, which we hope ultimately bene its you, the reader. And yet the experience in the building o this book has already greatly benef ted me as an educator in a f eld that I am passionate about: neuroradiology. Those o you amiliar with teaching know that the teacher either gains or solidi ies knowledge while preparing to teach. This has certainly been the case in writing this book or me.We were ambitious or this book in that we did not want to only o er the usual ormat or a case review book. In addition to neuroradiology cases with probing questions and detailed but concise answers organized in easy, medium, and hard categories, we also wanted a practical re erence book that showed a wide variety o cases organized by anatomy with practical pearls that help summarize the salient points.

Radiology case review series Brain imaging PDF re erence books are organized such that a radiologist must already have a relatively accurate di erential diagnosis when considering abnormal imaging f ndings. There erence is then checked against the radiologist’s best educated guess or the top pathologies in the di erential, requiring signifcant preexisting knowledge and experience. In contrast, by using the index, and also because the cases are organized anatomically, it is our hope that this book can be a helpful f cient tool at the workstation by comparing the real-time abnormal indings with the book cases that demonstrate a classic appearance o pathology, when possible. While the pure randomness and potpourri style o the prior board or mat is lost, we believe the systematic organization by anatomy will help solidi y learning not by illing in holes rom random chance, but by supporting anatomy-based learning which will in turn improve per ormance on the newer boards’ ormat. It is our hope that this book is use ul or both trainees just learning neuroradiology and more experienced practitioners.

Radiology case review series Brain imaging PDF, I would like to thank Roland Talanow or the opportunity to author this book, and his creation of an efficient and easy-to-use authoring system; Rocky Saenz, my coauthor, or his shared dedication and input, who worked in the trenches with me despite being a whole state away; and Nucharin “Tanya” Supakul or her hard work and help in creating case material, particularly her desire to educate in pediatric neuroradiology. Most o all, I give much thanks  and love to my wise, Angel, or her support and care to our young children while I was sequestered in ront o a computer typing away like a madman. Without her this would not have been possible.
