FRCR Physics Notes Beautiful revision notes for the First FRCR Physics exam 2018 eBook Free The essence of radiology is physics. A good understanding of the principles that underlie the imaging modalities, and the legislation that governs our practice, is essential. For UK trainees this knowledge is assessed in the first FRCR physics exam.

These beautiful notes are for those sitting the exam and cover the scope of the Royal College of Radiologists syllabus. Indeed, although aimed at radiology trainees the notes provide an excellent overview for anyone interested in learning about the physics of radiology or just refreshing their knowledge.

The notes were created by Dr Sarah Abdulla during her radiology training at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst revising for the first FRCR physics exam she was frustrated by the lack of comprehensive but concise material in an easy to follow format and so created her own notes gathering information from multiple books, journal papers and browser tabs. She soon realised that, perhaps, others had the same problem and might find these notes useful so decided to make them available to everyone online.

These notes have since been moved to Radiology Cafe, a website by Dr Christopher Clarke giving junior doctors invaluable advice on applying to clinical radiology and supporting radiology registrars in training with revision resources and mock exams.
Our goal has been to make the notes concise but comprehensive with plenty of beautiful diagrams to aid in understanding.

The clearly organised nature of the notes makes them ideal for dipping into a specific topic for reference, although if you fancy reading the entire physics syllabus, you can do that too. They have been separated into chapters covering basic science, x-ray imaging, CT imaging, ultrasound imaging, MR imaging, nuclear imaging, and radiation dosimetry, protection and legislation
